A Lil Breakdown of the Utah Flash Season.

I have put together a little breakdown of the utah flash season for the 09-10 season. This has to be the weirdest schedule in the history of professional sports. It is totally random for every team. We cant tell much because we dont know who will be on who's team but im really hoping that reno is terrible because we play them 10 times. think about it this way, if we beat reno every time (10-0) and we win 1/4 games against other teams (10/40) we are a .400 team, which is a playoff team probably...

Erie BayHawks (1H=1)
Fort Wayne Mad Ants (0? probably during the showcase.)
Iowa Energy (1H=1)

Wow they play every eastern team only once (dakota is not very far away... plus all the east teams are at home. that has to be nice for the flash, they get to save a lot of money with travel.

Albuquerque Thunderbirds (3H+2R=5)
Austin Toros (2R=2) (Season Finale)
Bakersfield Jam (4R=4)
Idaho Stampede (6H+2R=8)
Los Angeles Defenders (1H+5R=6)
Reno Bighorns (5H+5R=10)
Rio Grande Valley Vipers (1H=1)
Tulsa 66ers (2H+2R=4) (Season Opener)
Utah Flash (48 games + 2 showcase games still unreleased)

If you are a flash season ticket holder you get the most out of your money compared to any other team, you get to see every team in orem except for the bakersfield jam and the fort wayne mad ants... (who i get to see because im crazy and will drive up to boise for the showcase). Im still not sure about this schedule? how ever they came up with it is wacked up!!! look at Idaho and Reno (the two closest teams) we play them a total of 18 times (36% of the season) then look at the six teams that are the farthest away, we play them 5 times (all at home)

Games of the Year (or games it think will be cool)

November 27th @Tulsa: Yes this is the day that i reported would be the first game of the season... This game will be a must watch on NBA Futurecast (yes its still free) Im hoping that we have a preseason game in Burley or somewhere so i can see the guys before hand.
December 7th VS-Dakota: This game is HUGE!!! why? duh its the first game of the year in utah, expect it to be loud and expect me to be doing something crazy! They should be looking for revenge seeing we knocked them out of the playoffs.
December 26th&28th @Idaho: Yahoo!!! i am so excited for this game, when i first saw it i thought that it was a sat/sun game but now i realise that it is not... Yes i guarantee that i will be at these games. I can also guarantee that i am going to freeze my but off, yes i will sleep in my car again. but its totally worth it.
March 6th VS-Springfield: This is the very first game vs the newly added franchise led by head coach Dee Brown (Former Celtic Dunk Champ)
April 3rd @Austin: The Season Finale

"Utah Flash: It seems like Utah doesn't have too many games against Eastern teams, as they play one each against Sioux Falls, Springfield, Erie and Maine and none against Fort Wayne. While we don't know how the rosters will look for a few weeks, based on last year's performance the Flash have a fairly tough schedule to finish out, with four games against Idaho, three against Reno and their contest against Erie, along with their last two games on the road in Austin"

I wanted to help you get more in depth with this schedule so here is a little more of what i have found.

The Flash's Home Schedule... What days do we have the most games on?
Monday- 4
Tuesday- 2
Wednesday- 5
Thursday- 1
Friday- 7
Saturday- 5
Sunday- 0 {Duh :)}

I think this is another smart move by the flash, weekend are when we have the biggest croud becuase everyone has work off. Monday is also a smart day because it is family night and the flash are a very family friendly place.

Looking at Back-to-backs

The Flash have Ten Back to backs including three in the month of february ( a month which they only play 8 games).. November-1 December-0 January-2 February-3 March-3 April-1

Another thing you may notice is that when the flash have a road game they hardly ever play just one game and then fly home. (the only time we do this is Feb. 5/6th & 26/27th and those games we have a home game either the day before or after.) Road trips. November- (to start the season) we have a 5 game road trip. then a 4 game trip (during xmas) and four more double headers in the last bit of the season.
